Orlando Bloom, Ian McKellen and their “The Hobbit” co-star Adam Brown had a mini “Lord of the Rings” reunion on Monday.

“A dwarf, a wizard, and an elf walk into a bar…,” Bloom wrote in a caption under the photo, which featured the three men smiling into the camera and was posted on Instagram.

Bloom played the elf Legolas in the “LOTR” trilogy, while McKellen played the wizard Gandalf the Grey. They both also reprised their roles in “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” and “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies,” in which they starred alongside Brown’s Ori.

Peter Jackson directed the fantasy series, based on the novel of the same name by J. R. R. Tolkien. The first film was released in 2001, with the two sequels coming out in 2002 and 2003. Being among the highest-grossing film series of all times, the franchise won 17 out of 30 total Academy Award nominations. The third even won Best Picture.

Last week, Bloom also reunited with his former “Lord of the Rings” costar Liv Tyler, who played Arwen in the films. She came to see a showing of Bloom’s play “Killer Joe” in London.
