Simon Cowell Finally Got the Singing Dog He Always Wanted on ‘AGT’ (Video)

Take it away, Oscar

Simon Cowell always wanted a singing dog on “AGT.” Wait no longer, sir.

Pam brought her golden retriever Oscar to NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” on Tuesday, when the pooch was pitch-perfect — you know, for a dog.

“Are you winding me up?” Cowell asked Oscar’s 59-year-old handler when she explained what was about to happen.

“No, I’m telling you he can sing,” Pam responded. “He can hold a note, he can even do a vibrato and everything.”

“I don’t want to expect too much, but yeah, I’m not kidding — I’ve done this show a long time, and I always said if we could find a dog that could sing, that would be everything to me,” Cowell said, wishing the duo luck.

With Pam’s accompaniment on the piano, Oscar belted out some doggy notes.

Host Tyra Banks said they were “on key” and the audience was soon chanting Oscar’s name — but we’ll let our readers judge the performance for themselves.

This is at least Simon’s second interesting dog moment of the Summer 2018 season.

Last month, 13-year-old singer Jeffrey Li got Cowell to buy him a dog after his moving performance of Josh Groban’s “You Raise Me Up.”
