Numbers for the 86th Academy Awards have been revised this morning — as expected — and they’ve gone up.
43.7 million viewers tuned in to watch this year’s awards, making it the most-watched Oscars since 2000.
Viewers-wise, the final total represents an 8 percent increase from last year, when the show pulled in 40.4 million viewers.
In terms of ratings, it is the highest-rated Oscars in the advertiser-sought adults 18-49 demographic since 2010, with a 13.1 rating/33 share — a one percent uptick from last year, when the show had a 13.0/31.

According to the previously-available preliminary numbers, the show was reported to be the most-watched Oscars in 10 years.
Sunday’s show is the most-watched entertainment telecast since the May 2004 finale of “Friends.”
For the record: An earlier version of this story said that Sunday’s Academy Awards surpassed the “Friends” finale in viewers, it did not. TheWrap regrets the error.
