Osy Ikhile Joins Nicholas Hoult, Jim Piddock in Dark Comedy ‘Kill Your Friends’

The British actor recently worked with Ron Howard on the upcoming whale tale “In the Heart of the Sea”

Fresh off working with Ron Howard on “In the Heart of the Sea,” British actor Osy Ikhile has landed a supporting role alongside Nicholas Hoult in Owen Harris’ dark comedy “Kill Your Friends,” TheWrap has learned.

Hoult stars as an A&R man during the Britpop music wave of the late ’90s, who is willing to do whatever it takes to find the next big hit.

The indie movie, which is based on the novel by John Niven, co-stars Jim Piddock as the managing director of the record label. Ikhile will play a character named Rage.

Niven adapted his own novel, and the film will be produced by Gregor Cameron and Will Clarke.

Ikhile plays a sailor in Howard’s upcoming whale tale, which stars Chris Hemsworth, Benjamin Walker, Cillian Murphy and Ben Whishaw. He also just wrapped the indie movie “Jet Trash” with Robert Sheehan.

Ikhile previously starred in the Channel 4 miniseries “The Fear,” and his other credits include the popular UK series “Misfits,” “Fresh Meat,” “Casualty” and “Blackout.”

Ikhile is represented by Sam Turnbull at Curtis Brown and Thruline Entertainment.
