Paramount announced on Thursday that it is teaming up with WWE Studios to develop the animated comedy film “Rumble,” which will star Will Arnett, Terry Crews and Geraldine Viswanathan alongside WWE wrestlers Becky Lynch and Roman Reigns.

The movie is set in a world where monster wrestling is a global sport and monsters are superstar athletes. Winnie seeks to follow in her father’s footsteps by coaching an underdog monster into a wrestling champion.

The film is directed by Hamish Grieve and produced by Mark Bakshi and Brad Booker. Susan Levison and Richard Lowell will serve as executive producers for WWE Studios. Reel FX and Walden Media are also producers on the film.

Paramount Animation is ramping up their output in 2020, with “Rumble” being one of four films that the studio will release next year along with the live-action hybrids “Sonic the Hedgehog,” “The Spongebob Movie: It’s a Wonderful Sponge,” and “Clifford the Big Red Dog.” “Rumble” is currently set for a summer 2020 release.

WWE Studios has developed several wrestling-related titles with other studios, including the MGM biopic “Fighting With My Family” earlier this year. It is currently partnering with Netflix on the feature film “The Main Event” and the comedy series “The Big Show Show,” as well as the unscripted series “Fight Like a Girl” for Quibi.
