Paramount Names Chris Petrikin New Communications EVP

Paramount has named communications strategist Chris Petrikin as its new Executive Vice President of Global Communications and Corporate Branding, the studio announced Monday.

In this newly created position, Petrikin will work with both the company’s film and TV divisions to develop branding and communications strategies. He will report to Paramount Chairman and CEO Jim Gianopulos. Katie Martin Kelley, Executive Vice President, Domestic Publicity will continue to oversee all aspects of film publicity.

“Chris is a deft strategist and consummate professional with vast insight into the entertainment and media industries,” Gianopulos said in a statement. “I had the pleasure of working with Chris for many years and he is a valued and trusted advisor, with the strategic vision to further Paramount’s future. I look forward to working with him to shape the company’s narrative and lead our global communications efforts.”

Prior to joining Paramount, Petrikin served as Chief Communications Officer for 20th Century Fox and SVP of Communications at William Morris. He has also worked as a reporter and editor for Variety and Inside Magazine and contributed articles to GQ, Salon, and the Los Angeles Times.
