Paramount Television has hired Brian Segna from Universal Content Productions as senior vice president of development. Additionally, Kate Gill and Nicole Harjo were hired to vice president posts.

All three will report to Jenna Santoianni, Paramount TV’s executive vice president and head of development. Santoianni came aboard in March.

“I am thrilled by the addition of these three incredible executives to our stable. Their innovative taste and copious experience will be pivotal in developing our already-robust slate as Paramount Television continues to scale rapidly. I can’t wait to see what projects and new talent they bring to our diverse offerings.”

Tegna was vice president of scripted television development, where he worked on “Nightflyers,” “Pearson,” “Channel Zero” and George R.R. Martin’s upcoming “Wild Cards” for Hulu. He was ITV Studios before that.

Harjo was previously vice president of television at The Kennedy/Marshall Company, while Gill joins from YouTube Originals, where she was a scripted development and current executive.

Last week, Paramount Television’s parent company Viacom announced its long-awaited merger with CBS, which is expected to close at the end of the year. ViacomCBS will be led by Viacom CEO Bob Bakish with CBS acting CEO Joe Ianniello heading up CBS-branded networks.
