“Parenthood” star Erika Christensen gets a front row seat for possibly the strangest surf and turf challenge ever on Tuesday’s episode of Esquire Network’s culinary competition, “Knife Fight.”
The actress is apparently a good friend of host Ilan Hall. And she is front and center when he introduces the episode’s three secret ingredients: Squab (aka pigeon), Dungeness crab and cod alongside, wait for it, cod sperm.

Christensen reacts to the ingredients with wide-eyed surprise, but at least she doesn’t have to figure out two dishes in an hour like the episode’s contenders, Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) executive chef Jason Fullilove and Dominick’s Brandon Boudet.
Professional skateboarder Eric Koston earns his dinner as the episode’s guest timekeeper and judge, as well.
