The L.A.-based Chainsmokers finally returned for a homecoming show on Thursday night (June 14), their first since 2016, a lifetime ago for the award-winning, globe-trotting A-listers.

Jake Miller (left, the rising singer-model who's not afraid to post selfies while chowing down at In-N-Out) and dance star Jordyn Jones (4.5 million Instagram followers) were amongs those seeing the new stage show. The Chainsmokers have outgrown the DJ decks. Part of the expansion is drummer Matt McGuire (right), who has ascended to equal billing on stage like a third member of the duo.

Meanwhile in New York, other musical heavyweights gathered at the Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Steven Tyler and Usher (both are reality TV singing contest alums) got close, as The Weeknd presented an award to Sir Lucian Grainge.

On the eve of his 49th birthday, Ice Cube christened a new radio studio at the Dream Hotel in Hollywood. Dubbed the "Dash Radio x Dream Hollywood Pop-Up Studio," Cube will have his own station on the Dash network tied to his Big3 professional basketball league. In D.C., Wolf Blitzer joined members of Playboy's first family (Current CCO Cooper Hefner and former CEO Christie Hefner) for the Hugh Hefner Foundation's 2018 First Amendment Awards. The honorees included Simon Tam, the leader of the Asian-American rock band The Slants, who fought and won a seven year court battle against the U.S. government to trademark his band's name. The government had refused to register the mark because of the name's disparaging use as a slur.

The new Rosé Day LA event in Malibu proved to be a popular excuse to sip pink wine in fancy clothes. It drew Jeremy Renner off the promotional circuit for "TAG," posing here with 1Iota's Ben Biscotti. Chef Marc Forgione cooked for the crowd that included Leonardo DiCaprio, Lana Del Rey, Alesso, Scottie Pippen, and music man Zen Freeman.

The Sundance Institute honored "Sorry To Bother You" writer-director Boots Riley (right) with the Vanguard award at a special presentation at the Ace Hotel in downtown L.A. on Thursday night (June 14). Annapurna acquired it at this year's Sundance slating it for a July release. The omnipresent Lakeith Stanfield from the cast (left) and Rosario Dawson (who presented) joined the honoree.

Although privately owned by developer Two Trees, the new park is open to the public and not just those who live in the surrounding towers. The Party Report's Brooklyn surrogates report that cooped-up condo dwelling locals have been antsy for the new park for months.
