Patricia Arquette responded to Donald Trump’s personal attacks on “Morning Joe” host Mika Brzezinski by hinting at some “gossip” about the president that hasn’t been made public “yet.”

“Remove this tweet,” the Oscar-winning actress wrote in response to Trump’s Thursday-morning tweets that disparaged Brzezinski. “There is a lot of gossip about you on the street that hasn’t been in the press- yet,” she said, adding in another tweet, “At a certain point you are going to open the flood gates of hell against you & people will start talking. People who normally wouldn’t.”

Arquette didn’t elaborate on what gossip she was referring to, beyond saying that it is something other than the “pee tape” that Twitter users have been semi-jokingly speculating about for months.

“Donald you are grounded until further notice,” she added.

On Thursday Trump tweeted negatively about “Morning Joe” co-hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough, seemingly unprompted. Referring to her as “Crazy Mika,” the president wrote that Brzezinski  has a “low I.Q.” and was “bleeding badly from a face-lift” when she was at Mar-a-Lago around New Year’s Eve.

“It’s a sad day for America when the president spends his time bullying, lying and spewing petty personal attacks instead of doing his job,” an MSNBC spokesperson said in a statement responding to the tweets on Thursday.

Arquette suggested on Twitter that Trump’s tweets were an attempt to distract from negative news stories. “He’s just trying to distract from GOP eliminating voting commission & the request for all voter data for the nation today,” she wrote.
