In the latest trailer for the upcoming Showtime series “Billions,” U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti) plans to handle hedge fund king Bobby Axelrod (Damian Lewis) the way a matador handles a bull.
“A good matador doesn’t kill a fresh bull,” Rhoades says. “You wait until he’s been stuck a few times.” The two are at odds throughout the trailer, as Rhoades is convinced that Axelrod is relying on illegal information to make his fortune in the high-stakes world of New York finance.

“Billions” premieres on January 17 at 10 p.m./9c.
