Pharrell Williams, Gwen Stefani Team Up For ‘Paddington’ Original Song ‘Shine’

“The Voice” hosts and frequent collaborators record new track for live TWC-Dimension film

Two music stars have just lent their voices to a beloved bear for his live action movie debut.

Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams will contribute the original song “Shine” to the movie soundtrack of “Paddington.”

Based on Michael Bond’s Paddington Bear book series, Williams and Stefani were tapped to both write and perform the number for the family flick, opening January 16.

“What a wonderful opportunity, as a parent, to contribute to something as classic, authentic and generational to all of our lives, as Paddington Bear,” Williams said in a statement.

“I am honored to join forces with Pharrell and be part of bringing this beloved classic to life for Paddington’s next big adventure,” Stefani chimed in.

The pair, currently serving as judges on NBC’s “The Voice,” count previous hits “Hollaback Girl” and “Can I Have It Like That” as team efforts, in addition to the new single, “Spark The Fire.”

“Paddington” is the story of a Peruvian bear lost in a big city searching for a home. The title character is voiced by “Skyfall” actor and Colin Firth-replacement Ben Whishaw. Additional cast includes Hugh Bonneville, Nicole Kidman and Sally Hawkins, lead by writer/director Paul king.
