Philip Seymour Hoffman completed a 10-day detox program for pill and heroin abuse on Friday, TMZ reported on Friday.
The celebrity gossip-news site says that Hoffman left an east coast facility a week ago, is clean and back on a movie set Europe.
Requests for comment from Hoffman's representatives from TheWrap have not been returned.
Hoffman has struggled with substance abuse in the past, admitting in interviews that he gave up drinking and drugs in the early '90s — going to rehab at age 22 — before making it big. Hoffman spoke about his past in a 2006 CBS interview with Steve Kroft, admitting that his addiction was all over the place before he got help.
"It was all that [drugs and alcohol], yeah, it was anything I could get my hands on…I liked it all," he told Kroft.
But TMZ says he told the site that after 23 years of being clean, he fell off the wagon about a year ago, starting with prescription pills and escalating to snorting heroin.

The heroin use lasted just a week or so before Hoffman realized he needed help, TMZ reported, and the award-winning actor checked himself into the detox facility.
No direct quotes were included in the report, except the following: "Hoffman credits what he calls 'a great group of friends and family' for helping him seek the treatment he needed to get better."
