Jaylene Cook has reached new heights in disrespect in more ways than one.

The Playboy Playmate has outraged some people by posing naked on top of a New Zealand mountain deemed sacred by the indigenous Maori people.

Cook invoked outrage with the photo, posted Friday to her Facebook and Instagram accounts, which depicts her standing atop Mount Taramaki on the country’s North Island wearing nothing but gloves, shoes and a hat.

“WE DID IT!! This was BY FAR the hardest thing I have ever done!” Cook wrote in a caption for the photo. “Both mentally and physically. 2 minutes out of the car park I was already hurting, sweating and ready to turn back.”

Dealing with the subsequent outrage might turn out to be an even bigger challenge for Cook than the climb itself.

Dennis Ngawhare, a spokesman for New Zealand’s Maori tribe, told the BBC, “It’s like someone went into St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican and took a nude photo … It’s a sacred place and something like this is just very inappropriate.”

Comments on Cook’s Instagram account were similarly scathing.

“Respect other cultures. Classless humans all around!” huffed on critic.

“Horrible, no respect for this whore,” went another response.

“Can you get your nude ass off the people’s sacred place and have some respect for the others?” wrote another detractor. “That is too rude to disrespect people’s beliefs for your goddamn sake. Please put yourself in their place and think how they may feel before exposing your ass in their sacred land.”

Cook pointed out that at the 9000-foot summit, she endured chilly weather that was “-11’C/35km winds,” but didn’t explain why she’d stripped off any warm layers …

WE DID IT!! This was BY FAR the hardest thing I have ever done! Both mentally and physically. 2 minutes out of the car park I was already hurting, sweating and ready to turn back ???? But it’s amazing what you can accomplish with the encouragement and support of your partner! I could not have done this without you babe @thejoshshaw! • ???” Mount Taranaki Summit ??”? 9000ft ❄️ -11’C/35km winds ????????‍♀️ 12.6km (1.6km elevation) ⏰ 2am – 6.30pm (12hr hike time) ??’????? 20kg pack (Josh had 40kg ????) • This climb has forever changed me. I proved just how far I could push myself and I am truely proud of my accomplishment. This mountain was steep, rugged, ever changing and just pure brutal! Safe to say, I will never do it again ???…

At least if she is still cold from her naked mountain climb, the flames coming from her Instagram comments should help to keep her warm.
