Fox News host Megyn Kelly grilled Democratic National Committee chair Donna Brazile over WikiLeaks during post-debate coverage on Wednesday night, trying to get to the bottom of where she obtained a town hall question that was allegedly leaked to the Clinton Campaign.
Brazile, a former CNN contributor and Bill Clinton campaign adviser, emailed a Hillary Clinton campaign employee a question that was going to be asked at the CNN Democratic town hall in advance, according to one leaked email.
“You had this question on March 12 that verbatim – verbatim was provided by Roland Martin to CNN the next day,” Kelly said. “How did you get that question?”
“I did not receive any questions from CNN,” Brazile responded.
Kelly, who seemed frustrated, repeated, “Where did you get it?”
Brazile tried to avoid the questions, but Kelly didn’t let up.
“You got the [John] Podesta email showing you messaging the Clinton campaign with the exact wording of a question asked at the March 13th CNN TV1 town hall debate,” Kelly said.
Brazile fired back, “As a Christian woman, I understand persecution. But I will not sit here and be persecuted because your information is totally false.”
Kelly asked, “So you deny it?”
Brazile got defensive, saying Kelly was “like a thief” and went on to praise CNN, live on Fox News, while avoiding Kelly’s question.
