‘Pretty Little Liars’ Star Troian Bellisario Returns to ‘Suits’ in August

Actress will reprise role as Mike Ross’ former love interest Claire

Troian Bellisario, best known for her role as Spencer Hastings on ABC Family’s “Pretty Little Liars,” will reprise her role as Claire on the Aug. 12 episode of USA drama “Suits,” the network announced Wednesday.

In season four, Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) met Claire in a flashback to his days as a bike messenger. A law student at the time, Claire returns to present-day Pearson Specter Litt as opposing counsel on one of Mike’s cases.

Bellisario is a burgeoning actress, writer and producer. She wrote, produced and starred in the short film “Exiles,” and also starred in the title role of “Lauren” in a WIGS web series about sexual assault in the military.

Bellisario was also seen in the independent film “Consent.” On stage, she appeared in “Equivocation” at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles, with The Casitas Group, a theatre company of which she is a founding member and also appeared in an exclusive engagement of Martin McDonagh’s “The Pillowman,” as well as a Sam Shepard double feature: “Fool for Love” and “True West.”

“Suits,” now in its fifth season, centers on a fast-paced Manhattan corporate law firm led by legendary lawyer Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and also stars Gina Torres, Rick Hoffman, Sarah Rafferty and Meghan Markle. Guest stars previously announced this season include Christina Cole (“Casino Royale”), John Pyper-Ferguson (“The Last Ship”), Aloma Wright (“Scrubs”) and Amy Acker (“Person of Interest”).

The show was created and is executive produced by Aaron Korsh (“The Deep End”). Doug Liman (“Mr. & Mrs. Smith”), David Bartis (“Covert Affairs”) and Gene Klein (“Covert Affairs,”) of Hypnotic, as well as Anton Cropper (“Fairly Legal”), Daniel Arkin (“90210”) and Chris Downey (“Leverage”) serve as executive producers.

“Suits” airs on Wednesdays at 9/8c on USA.
