Prewitt, Wolf Re-Upped at IFTA

Indie advocates’ contracts extended through 2012.

The Independent Film and Television Alliance (IFTA) on Tuesday announced that the contracts of President-CEO Jean Prewitt and Executive VP Jonathan Wolf have been renewed.

Prewitt, who has headed the IFTA since 2000, and Wolf, who has served in his position since 1998, will both continue in their posts through 2012. Wolf also serves as the Managing Director of the American Film Market.

They have led the global trade organization during a period that has seen it grow as a public advocate for the independent film and television industry.

“Jean has led IFTA’s campaign against media consolidation and is an advocate for protecting net neutrality on the Internet," said Lloyd Kaufman, IFTA’s Chairman of the Borad of Directors. "And Jonathan has (turned) AFM into the world’s premier market for independently produced motion pictures."
