Carver County Sheriff Jim Olson is holding a press conference Friday to discuss the death of music legend Prince, who died at his Minnesota home Thursday at age 57.
The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office announced Friday that Prince’s autopsy had concluded, but that results are pending and could take weeks.
According to the sheriff’s department, the musician’s body was found in the elevator of his Paisley Park home on Thursday morning. Reponders were unable to revive him via CPR.
TMZ reported that the singer, who was hospitalized last week, may have suffered an overdose of the painkiller Percocet last Fiday, which necessitated a brief hospitalization in Moline, Illinois.
