“Quantico” star Priyanka Chopra is in talks to join the cast of Universal Pictures’ “Cowboy Ninja Viking.”

The film, based on the 2009 Image Comics graphic novel by AJ Lieberman and illustrator Riley Rossmo, is a hard-edged actioner starring Chris Pratt as a new kind of assassin who manifests the toughest skills of three different personas: Cowboy, Ninja, and Viking.

The studio did not indicate what Chopra’s role would be.

Michelle MacLaren (“Game of Thrones,” “West World,” “The Walking Dead”) is directing “Cowboy Ninja Viking” from a script by Dan Mazeau (“Wrath of the Titans”) and Ryan Engle (“The Commuter” and “Rampage”).

An earlier draft of the screenplay was written by Craig Mazin (“Identity Thief” and “The Hangover II”), with an original draft by “Zombieland” writers Paul Wernick and Everett David Reese.

“Cowboy Ninja Viking” is slated for theatrical release June 28, 2019.

Entertainment 360 (Steve Jobs), the production arm of Management 360, Mark Gordon (Molly’s Game, Murder on the Orient Express) via Entertainment One, Michael De Luca (Captain Phillips, The Social Network) for Michael De Luca Productions, and Chris Pratt will produce.

Vice President of Production Sara Scott will oversee production on behalf of Universal.

Chopra is represented by WME.
