‘Punk’d’ Star Andrew Santino Plays With Josh Hamilton’s Jockstrap in ‘Behind the Lights’

Break Media and the BBC are co-producing a show that takes viewers behind the scenes of  sports teams

Break Media launched on Wednesday a new web series, “Behind the Lights,” which takes viewers behind the scenes of sports teams, such as the Oakland Raiders and the Olympic water polo team. The show is a co-production with BBC Worldwide Productions.

Andrew Santino from MTV’s “Punk’d” hosts the first run of the series, which consists of six episodes.

In the first episode, which can be seen below, Santino visits Matt Weiss, the visiting clubhouse assistant for the Oakland Athletics. In it, they scrape dirt from cleats, coat baseballs in mud and pick up dirty clothing, including the jockstrap of Texas Rangers star Josh Hamilton.

Break has built a mini-online video empire out of male-focused programming, specifically for those in the coveted 18-to-34 demographic. Though it is also creating content for people outside of that demo, this show airs on MadeMan.com, a men’s lifestyle property.

In May, Break launched “Speakeasy,” hosted by comedian Paul F. Tompkins, on MadeMan. In that show, Tompkins has a friendly conversation with a celebrity guest in a dark bar setting. It premiered with Ty Burrell from “Modern Family.”
