“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Star” Rachel Brosnahan shared her grief over the loss of her aunt Kate Spade — or “Katy,” to her — the day after her death with a video of the famous handbag designer dancing by a Christmas tree.

“Knowing Katy, this is how she would want to be remembered,” Brosnahan wrote in a post to Instagram early Wednesday morning. “She had a light that words can’t capture but touched everyone she came into contact with. She was exceedingly kind, beautifully sensitive, insanely talented, funny as heck and one of the most generous people I have ever known. She was effervescent. Hug your loved ones extra tight today.”

Kate Spade was found dead of an apparent suicide in her Manhattan apartment Tuesday morning at the age of 55.

Brosnahan is not the only famous member of Kate Spade’s family to pay tribute to the fashion designer since news of her death broke, with actor David Spade honoring his sister-in-law in a tweet on Tuesday afternoon, with a picture of her attending one of his book signings.

“Katy at my book signing,” the actor wrote. “I love this pic of her. So pretty. I don’t think everyone knew how f–ing funny she was… Its a rough world out there people. Try to hang on.”

The designer married David Spade’s brother, Andy, in 1994, and together the couple founded the handbag company that bore her name, which would eventually blossom into a full-fledged fashion design house worth as much as $2.4 billion.

Her passing was met with an outpouring of grief from her fans and fashion world contemporaries, who hailed her as an iconic designer and fondly remembered owning some of her brightly colored designs.
