Rachel Platten gets a timely rescue from some fans, when she guest-stars as herself on the next episode of Disney Channel’s “Stuck in the Middle.”
The “Fight Song” singer, now promoting her new single “Better Place,” is featured in a new exclusive clip (above) from the new family sitcom starring “Jane the Virgin’s” Jenna Ortega.
Platten is seen stranded on a sidewalk, lost on her way to a parade, when Harley (Ortega) and her brother Ethan (Isaak Presley) pedal by. Not only does Ethan jump at the chance to offer the singer a ride, but he demonstrates some impressive/scary knowledge of Platten’s habits.
Pop singer Platten rose to fame in 2015 when “Fight Song” became a Top 10 single; she also won a Daytime Emmy for musical performance on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
“Stuck in the Middle” is a family sitcom focused on the Diaz clan, with Hayley as the focal point. The show also stars Ronni Hawk as Rachel, Kayla Maisonet as Georgie, Nicolas Bechtel as Lewie, Malachi Barton as “Beast,” Ariana Greenblatt as Daphne, Cerina Vincent as Suzy and Joe Nieves as Tom.
The series was created by Alison Brown. Linda Videtti Figueiredo serves as Executive Producer.
“Stuck in the Middle” will air Monday, July 18 at 8 p.m. ET on Disney Channel.
