That boulder Indiana Jones runs from will never be bigger than on Sept. 7, when "Raiders of the Lost Ark” begins a one-week Imax re-release.
Tickets to see the 1981 adventure film classic were available online Tuesday via theater sites, brokers including Fandango and at Imax.com.
Paramount wasn’t commenting on the Imax run Tuesday, but the studio is releasing its “Indiana Jones: The Complete Adventures” for the first time on Blu-ray on Sept. 18.

Steven Spielberg, who directed the film and helped with the Imax conversion, told the New York Times that the look of the film and the special effects would remain the same, though the audio has been changed to surround sound.
“When the boulder is rolling, chasing Indy through the cave, you really feel the boulder in your stomach, the way you do when a marching band passes by, and you’re standing right next to it,” he said.
Spielberg said he had no plans to do Imax conversions of the other “Indiana Jones” films or any of his other movies. He is converting his “Jurassic Park” to 3D for a rerelease next year.
