‘Rambo: Last Blood’ Trailer: Sylvester Stallone Says ‘Death Is Coming’ (Video)

Fifth film in franchise opens from Lionsgate on Sept. 20

Rambo is back, and he wants you and everyone to know that “death is coming” for you in the first look at Sylvester Stallone in “Rambo: Last Blood.”

The fifth film in the “Rambo” franchise sees Stallone gearing up for revenge as he reprises the role of John Rambo. The former Green Beret travels to Mexico to save a friend’s daughter who has been kidnapped by the Mexican cartel.

And why yes, the whole trailer is set to the tune of “Old Town Road,” how did you guess?

“I’ve lived in a world of death. I’ve watched people I’ve loved dying, some fast with a bullet, some not enough left to bury,” Stallone says in the first trailer. “All these years I’ve kept my secret, but the time has come to face my past. And if it comes looking for me, they will welcome death.”

In the trailer, we see Rambo setting booby traps around a remote country house in anticipation of the arrival of a massive gang who are coming to hunt him down.

Stallone debuted a tease from the film as part of a master class the actor and director hosted at Cannes. Adrian Grunberg directs with a script by Matthew Cirulnik that Lionsgate is releasing on Sept. 20.

The 72-year-old actor first played the infamous Vietnam vet in 1982’s “First Blood,” which was a follow up to his breakout role as boxer Rocky Balboa.
