Randi Zuckerberg Exits Facebook to Start Her Own Venture

Sister of company’s co-founder plans to launch her own project

Randi Zuckerberg no longer "likes" Facebook. At least, not enough to remain employed there.

Zuckerberg, the sister of Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg, resigned from the company on Wednesday in order to form her own company, a spokesperson for the company confirmed to TheWrap.

Zuckerberg had served as marketing director for her brother's company.

"We are all grateful for her important service," the Facebook spokesperson said.

In her resignation letter, which was obtained by All Things D, Zuckerberg said she was proud of her work there, but "I know I'll be able to do just as much or more for Facebook once I'm on the outside.

"My goal is to launch my own innovative programming and work with media companies to develop their programming in new, and more social ways," she added.

According to All Things D, her new company will be called RtoZ Media.

Zuckerberg, the author of the book "Spark Your Career in Advertising," served as a panelist on "Forbes on Fox" prior to coming aboard Facebook.
