Mark is not the only successful Zuckerberg with a tech background.

The Facebook CEO’s sister Randi Zuckerberg spoke with the media Wednesday at the Beverly Hilton-based Television Critics Association’s summer press tour, where she admitted to growing weary of being the only woman in Silicon Valley meetings.

“I have sat in so many rooms in Silicon Valley where I’ve been the only woman,” she said. “I spent 10 lonely years … sitting in rooms where people said, ‘How do we get more girls into tech? How do we get more women starting companies?’”

“And I thought, Silicon Valley isn’t the answer,” Zuckerberg continued. “The answer is what all of us are doing in pop culture and media. It’s making it exciting and fun, giving girls and diverse children people who look like them onscreen.”

Zuckerberg was in the International Ballroom plugging her new series “Dot” on the preschool-targeting Sprout channel, which is under the NBCUniversal umbrella. “Dot” follows the titular character and her diverse group of friends as they explore technology.

“Dot” launches Oct. 22 on Sprout.
