"Bachelorette" is, by far, the summer's biggest ratings hit. The reality show led ABC to its seventh straight win on Monday night with another dominating performance on the ratings charts.
EIGHT IS GREAT "Bachelorette" won the four half-hour time slots from 8-10 p.m. on Monday for the eighth consecutive week. It was the top primetime show on any network with a 3.3 rating/10 share in the key adults 18-49 demographic, up six percent from last week. Overall, ABC averaged 2.8/9 from 8-11 p.m. on Monday.
BACK AGAIN CBS scored a second place finish with a 1.8/5 and repeats of "How I Met Your Mother," "Rules of Engagement," "Two And a Half Men," "The Big Bang Theory" and "CSI: Miami." CBS' encores beat new shows on Fox and NBC.
TIED FOR LAST Spanish-language broadcaster Univision beat NBC and Fox, which were tied for fourth place with 1.4/4 averages. Univision's score for the night was ever-so-slightly higher– 1.5/5. Univision aired episodes of the novelas "Hasta El Dinero Nos Separe" and "Soy Tu Duena" before an episode of the talk show "Cristina" that featured people in their 30's coming out of the closet. Fox ran fresh episodes of the shows "Lie To Me" and "The Good Guys." NBC's lineup included a re-run of "America's Got Talent" along with new episodes of "Last Comic Standing" and "Dateline." "Last Comic Standing" scored a 1.6/5, matching its lowest rating for a new episode. Ouch.
