Ratings: ABC Wednesday Lineup Drops, ‘Nashville’ and ‘Suburgatory’ Hit Lows

NBC’s “Chicago PD” ticks up 19 percent

Steady CBS topped Wednesday in both ratings and viewers, as ABC’s entire lineup dipped. “Nashville” and “Suburgatory” hit series lows.

For NBC, “Chicago PD” jumped 19 percent. Fox’s “American Idol” hit a new Wednesday low.

CBS was first in ratings with a 2.1 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and first in viewers with an average of 9.9 million, according to preliminary numbers. “Survivor” at 8 p.m. earned a 2.2/7 and 9.6 million viewers. “Criminal Minds” at 9 received a 2.2/6 and 10.2 million viewers  — the most of the night. “CSI” at 10 got a 1.8/5 and 9.9 million viewers.

Fox was second in ratings with a 1.8/6 and in viewers with 8.6 million. “American Idol” was the only show on the network’s schedule.

NBC was third in ratings with a 1.7/5 and in viewers with 6 million. “Revolution” at 8 had a 1.4/5 and 4.7 million viewers. “Law & Order: SVU” received a 1.8/5 and 6.1 million viewers. “Chicago PD” at 10 earned a 1.9/6 and 7.2 million viewers.

ABC was fourth in ratings with a 1.6/5 and in viewers with 5.5 million. The network’s entire lineup declined in ratings. “The Middle” at 8 received a 1.8/6 and 7.1 million viewers. “Suburgatory” at 8:30 got a 1.4/4 — an 18 percent drop — and 5.1 million viewers. “Modern Family” at 9 had a 2.8/8 — the highest of the night but a 20 percent decline from last week — and 8.3 million viewers. “Mixology” at 9:30 got a 1.3/4 and 3.6 million viewers. “Nashville” at 10 dipped to a 1.2/4 rating versus its last original (April 2) and had 4.5 million viewers.

Univision was fifth in ratings with a 1.1/3 and in total viewers with 2.9 million.

The CW was sixth in ratings with a 0.7/2 and in viewers with 2.1 million. “Arrow” at 8 earned a 0.8/2 and 2.3 million viewers. “The 100” at 9 received a 0.6/2 and 1.9 million viewers.

Telemundo was seventh in ratings with a 0.5/1 and in total viewers with 1.2 million.
