ABC Gets Fourth Straight Monday Win, ‘Hawaii Five-O’ Sets a DVR Record

NBC’s new shows; “The Event” and “Chase,” continued to slip

ABC got its fourth straight Monday night win with "Dancing With The Stars" and "Castle." CBS was close behind in second place with a lineup of sitcoms and "Hawaii Five-O."

— ABC scored an average 3.8 rating/10 share in the key adults 18-49 demographic in primetime from 8-11 p.m. The network got a slight boost in the fast national ratings numbers because it carried the NFL game between the Vikings and Jets in Minneapolis. "Dancing With The Stars" scored a 4.1/10 and "Castle" posted a 3.2/8, up 23 percent from last week. "Castle's" jump was partially due to the NFL pre-emption and overrun from "Dancing With The Stars."

— CBS averaged 3.4/9 in primetime with "How I Met Your Mother," "Rules of Engagement," "Two And a Half Men," "Mike & Molly" and "Hawaii Five-O." "Two And a Half Men" was the night's top show with a 4.3/10, although it was down four percent from last week for its lowest fall telecast. "Hawaii Five-O" and "Mike & Molly" were both down an average of 10.5 percent. Despite the decline, newly released Live+7 ratings numbers indicate that "Hawaii Five-O" most time shifted viewers of all time with an additional 3.374 million viewers tuning in via DVR in the week following its Sept. 20 premiere.

— "House" and "Lie To Me" were both down 10 percent leaving Fox in third place with an average of 2.7/7 from 8-10 p.m.

— NBC scored dead last with a 1.9/5 average. "The Event" continued to slip. the conspiracy thriller was down eight percent with a 2.2/5. "The Chase" also dropped. It posted a 1.5/4, down 12 percent from last week.
