Ratings: ABC’s Drama ‘Assets’ Hits New Low

CBS, NBC comedies rebound on Thursday

The second installment of ABC’s “Assets” marked the lowest rating of any original episode across all Big 4 dramas for the 2013-2014 season.

“Assets” earned just a 0.6 rating in the key demo on Thursday, down 14 percent from its premiere, which was the lowest-rated scripted debut ever across ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC. The drama had 2.9 million viewers this week.

NBC and CBS comedies rebounded on Thursday, with the latter network dominating the night in terms of both ratings and viewers.

CBS was first in ratings with a 3.0 rating/9 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and first in total viewers with an average of 12.1 million, according to preliminary numbers.

At 8 p.m., “The Big Bang Theory” was the highest-rated and most-watched show of the night, with a 5.6/17 and 20.1 million viewers. At 8:30, “The Millers” matched a series high with a 3.3/10 and had its largest audience yet with 13.6 million viewers. “The Crazy Ones” at 9 got a 2.4/7 — a 20 percent increase — and 9.6 million viewers. “Two and a Half Men” at 9:30 had a 2.4/7 and 9.5 million viewers. “Elementary” at 10 received a 2.0/6 and 9.9 million viewers.

NBC and Univision tied for second in ratings, each with a 1.2. NBC’s had a 4 share, Univision a 3. NBC was third in viewers with 3.6 million, Univision was fourth with 3.2 million.

For NBC, “Community” at 8 earned a 1.4/4 and 3.6 million viewers. The 100th episode of “Parks and Recreation” at 8:30 received a 1.4/4 — a 40 percent increase from its last original in November — and 3.4 million viewers. At 9, “Sean Saves the World” earned a 1.0/3 and 3.2 million viewers. “The Michael J. Fox Show” at 9:30 had a 1.0/3 and 3.1 million viewers. “Parenthood” at 10 got a 1.3/4 and 4.2 million viewers.

ABC was in fourth in ratings with a 1.0/3 and second in total viewers with 4 million. “The Taste” at 8 earned a 1.3/4 and 4.5 million viewers. “Assets” followed.

Fox was in fifth in ratings with a 0.7/2 and in viewers with 2.4 million, airing reruns.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in total viewers with 1.4 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.3/1 and in total viewers with 945,000, airing repeats.
