Ten-million-plus viewers for "America's Got Talent" was not enough for NBC to outsizzle Fox's "Master Chef" in ratings Wednesday night.
Fox was first in ratings with a 1.7 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and third in total viewers with an average of 4.3 million, according to preliminary numbers. After a "Master Chef" rerun at 8 p.m., a new episode of the same show earned a 2.3/7, which tied it for the highest rated show of the night. It earned 5.5 million viewers.
The other top-rated show was a new "America's Got Talent" at 9, also with 2.3/7 — though its 10.3 million viewers made it easily the most-watched show on Wednesday. Still, its numbers were its lowest of the season and down 21 percent from last week. It followed an "AGT" rerun at 8.
At 10, "Camp" earned a 1.1/3 and 4.2 million viewers. All told, it put NBC second in ratings with a 1.6/5 and first in total viewers with 7.1 million.

CBS was third in ratings with a 1.4/4 and second in total viewers with 5.6 million. "Big Brother" at 8 earned a 2.2/8 and 6.3 million viewers. It aired reruns the rest of the evening.
Univision was in fourth in ratings with a 1.3/4 and in total viewers with 3.3 million.
ABC was in fifth in ratings with a 0.8/2, and fifth in viewers with 2.9 million. After reruns, "Nightline: The Lookout" received a 0.8/3 and 2.9 million viewers.
Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in total viewers 1.5 million.
