Ratings: ‘Biggest Loser’ Wins With Viewers; ‘NCIS’ Remains Static But Top-Rated

Reality competition expands its viewership on an otherwise static evening

"The Biggest Loser: Couples" jumped 11 percent in the adults 18-49 demo on a night of generally flat ratings, according to preliminary numbers.

NBC's reality series, which aired at 8 p.m., drew a 3.0/9 share and 8.2 million viewers versus last week's 2.7/8 and 8 million viewers. Following at 10, "Parenthood" pulled a 1.1/3 in the demo, with 3.1 million total viewers.

CBS' "NCIS," at 8 p.m. was flat but top-rated in the demo compared to its last original airing on March 1, garnering a 3.8/12 and 19 million viewers. "NCIS: LA," in the following hour, was similarly static in comparison to its March 1 airing, with a 3.2/9 in the demo and 16.5 million total viewers. In the 10 p.m. slot, "The Good Wife" drew a 2.1/6 in the demo, down 5 percent from its last original airing on March 1, which had a 2.2/6 among adults 18-49. Last night's airing drew 11.6 million total viewers.

A repeat of ABC's "No Ordinary Family" at 8 p.m. pulled a 1.1/5 in the demo and drew 5.3 million viewers. Its special presentation, At 9, the two-hour special "ABC News: Best in Film: Greatest Movies of Our Time," received a 1.8/5 in the 18-49 demo and 7.1 million viewers. 

FOX's Tuesday primetime slate consisted primarily of previously aired material. A "Glee" rerun at 8 drew a 1.9/6 in the 18-49 demo with 5.2 million total viewers, while a "Raising Hope" repeat at 9 pulled in a 1.5/4 and 4.2 million total viewers. "Traffic Light," at 9:30, was an original airing, but without an original lead-in scored only a 1.1/3 in the demo — versus last week's 1.6/5 — and 2.8 million total viewers.
