Ratings: ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine,’ ‘New Girl’ Tie Demo Lows After Super Bowl Exposure

NBC’s “Biggest Loser” Season 15 finale matches lowest finale ratings ever

Despite strong showings following Sunday’s Super Bowl, Fox’s “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “New Girl” didn’t earn a big boost in their regular timeslots: They tied key demo lows Tuesday.

For NBC, “The Biggest Loser” Season 15 finale matched Season 13’s finale rating, tying for the lowest ever. The weight- loss competition was down 19 percent from last season’s finale, which ended in mid-March.

CBS was first in ratings with a 2.7 rating/7 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and first in viewers with an average of 16 million, according to preliminary numbers. “NCIS” at 8 p.m. was primetime’s highest-rated and most-watched program with a 3.0/9 and 19.3 million viewers. “NCIS: Los Angeles” at 9 earned a 2.9/8 — a 21 percent boost from last its prior original — and 16.4 million viewers. “Person of Interest” at 10 received a 2.1/6 and 12.1 million viewers.

NBC was second in ratings with a 1.9/5 and in viewers with 6.7 million. The special, “Winter Gold: First Look at the Sochi Olympics” at 8 earned a 1.4/4 and 5.3 million viewers. The “Biggest Loser” finale at 9 received a 2.2/6 and 7.4 million viewers.

ABC and Fox tied for third in ratings, both with a 1.4/4. ABC was third in viewers with 4.6 million, Fox was fourth with 3.4 million.

For ABC, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” at 8 earned a 2.1/6 — tying a low — and 6.5 million viewers. “The Goldbergs” at 9 received a 1.7/5 and 5.1 million viewers. “Trophy Wife” at 9:30 got a 1.0/3 and 3.3 million viewers. “Killer Women” at 10 had a 0.7/2 and 3.1 million viewers.

For Fox,  “Dads” at 8 earned a 1.5/4 and 3.8 million viewers. Following a rerun, “New Girl” at 9 got a 1.6/4 and 3.5 million viewers. “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” in its 9:30 time period premiere had a 1.4/4 and 3.2 million viewers.

Univision was fifth in ratings with a 1.3/4 and in total viewers with 3.3 million.

The CW was sixth in ratings with a 0.9/3 and in total viewers with 2.3 million. “The Originals” at 8 earned a 0.8/2 — down 20 percent to a series low — and 2 million viewers. “Supernatural” at 9 received a 1.1/3 and 2.6 million viewers.

Telemundo was seventh in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in total viewers with 1.5 million.
