Ratings: CBS’ ‘Intelligence’ Is Most-Watched New Series Premiere of the Season

ABC’s “Killer Women” ties for second-lowest scripted debut in Big 4 network in-season history

CBS topped Tuesday outright, with the premiere of “Intelligence” pulling in the most viewers of the 2013-2014 season.

ABC also had a debut in the form of “Killer Women,” though that opener did not fair nearly as well. While “Intelligence” earned a 2.4 rating in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and 16.6 million viewers, “Women” had a 0.9 rating — ABC’s lowest Tuesday debut ever — and 3.9 million viewers. “Killer Women” is the second lowest-rated premiere of the fall, only behind ABC’s “Assets,” which was the lowest-rated scripted debut in Big 4 network history.

CBS was first in ratings with a 2.4 rating/7 share in the key demo and first in total viewers with an average of 16.5 million, according to preliminary numbers. At 8, “NCIS” was the highest-rated and most-watched show of the night, earning a 2.9/8 and 20.7 million viewers. “Intelligence” followed at 9. At 10, “Person of Interest” received a 2.0/6 and 12.1 million viewers.

NBC was second in ratings with a 1.8/5 and in total viewers with 5.9 million. At 8, “The Biggest Loser” got a 1.7/5 — a season low — and 5.4 million viewers. At 9, “Chicago Fire” had a 1.9/5 — tying a season low — and 6.8 million viewers.

ABC and Fox tied for third in ratings, both with a 1.5/4. ABC was third in viewers with 5 million. Fox was fifth in total viewers with 3.2 million.

For ABC, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” at 8 earned a 2.1/6, tying a season low, and 6.5 million viewers.  At 9, “The Goldbergs” received a 1.7/5 and 5.4 million viewers. “Trophy Wife” got a 1.2/3 and 3.9 million viewers. “Killer Women” followed.

Univision was fifth in ratings with a 1.3/3 and fourth in viewers with 3.4 million viewers.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in total viewers with 1.4 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.4/1 and in total viewers with 1.1 million.
