Ratings: CBS Wins Slow Easter Sunday With Masters Tournament

NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice” and “Harry’s Law” enjoy boosts; “GCB” holds steady

On a repeat-heavy Easter Sunday, CBS took an overall ratings win, thanks largely to the top-rated Masters golf tournament, according to preliminary numbers. ABC's "GCB" held steady and NBC's "Harry's Law" received a big boost.

CBS' numbers are approximate because preliminary live sports ratings often change. But the network came in first in ratings and total viewership Sunday night, with an average 2.3 rating/7 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and 10.8 million total viewers.

From 7 to 8 p.m., overrun from the Masters tournament, plus the start of "60 Minutes" — which didn't begin until almost the end of the hour — averaged a 3.6/13 in the demo and 16.2 million total viewers.

From 8 to 9, the continuation of "60 Minutes" combined with with "The Amazing Race" drew a 2.5/7 in the demo and 14.2 million. From 9 to 10, "Amazing Race" and a "Good Wife" repeat received a 1.9/5 in the demo and 8 million total viewers. From 10 to 11, "The Good Wife" and a "CSI: Miami" repeat averaged a 1.3/4 in the demo and 7.5 million total viewers.

NBC took second place in ratings and total viewers with an average 1.5/4 in the demo and 6.4 million. "Dateline" at 7 was flat with last week, receiving a 1.0/3 in the demo and 5 million total viewers. "Harry's Law" the following hour jumped 25 percent from last week with a 1.0/3 in the demo and 7.6 million total viewers. "Celebrity Apprentice" at 9 was also up in the demo, climbing 11 percent for a 2.0/5 and 6.5 million total viewers.

ABC came in third in ratings and total viewers with an average 1.4/4 in the demo and 4.7 million. Following repeats of "America's Funniest Home Videos" and "Once Upon a Time," a special airing of "GCB" at 9 drew a 1.7/4 and 5.3 million total viewers. A second airing of "GCB" in its regular time slot at 10 posted a 1.9/5 in the demo, even with last week, and 5.2 million total viewers.

Fox, which ran repeats throughout the night, came in fourth in ratings and total viewership with an average 1.3/4 in the demo and 2.8 million total viewers.
