Fox Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?

Fox’s “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?” landed the network in a fifth-place tie with Telemundo on Tuesday, when the Jeff Foxworthy show was coupled with a “World’s Funniest” special.

NBC easily climbed to the top of the heap with “America’s Got Talent.”

NBC was first in ratings with a 2.2 rating/8 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 8.9 million, according to preliminary numbers. At 8 p.m., “Talent” scored a 2.5/9 and 10.9 million viewers — both highs on the night. “I Can Do That” at 10 received a 1.4/5 and 5.1 million viewers.

CBS and Univision tied for second in ratings, both with a 0.9/3. CBS was second in total viewers with 7.3 million, airing all reruns. Univision was fourth in viewers with 2.2 million.

ABC was fourth in ratings with a 0.7/2 and third in viewers with 2.5 million. Following repeats, “Extreme Weight Loss” at 10 had a 0.7/2 — a series low — and 2.3 million viewers.

Fox and Telemundo tied for fifth in ratings, both turning in a 0.6/2. Fox was fifth in total viewers with 2.1 million; Telemundo was sixth with 1.4 million.

For Fox, “Fifth Grader” at 8 fell to 0.7/3 and 2.6 million viewers. “World’s Funniest” at 9 got a 0.5/2 and 1.7 million viewers.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.3/1 and in viewers with 922,000, airing repeats.
