Ratings: Fox Is First in Ratings, 3 Networks Tie for Second

NBC, CBS and Univision clutter second place in ratings, each with a 1.4

Fox was first in ratings on the strength of "MasterChef" Wednesday. But the rest of the field was crowded.

Fox had a 1.7 rating/5 share in the advertiser-sought 18-49 demographic and was third in total viewers with an average of 4.2 million, according to preliminary numbers. Following a rerun, "MasterChef" was the highest rated show of the evening, earning a 2.3/7 and 5.5 million viewers at 9 p.m.

NBC, CBS and Univision were all tied for second in ratings, each with a 1.4/4. NBC was first in total viewers with 6.2 million viewers. CBS was second in total viewers with 5.5 million. Univision was fourth in viewers with 3.5 million.

On NBC, following a repeat, "America's Got Talent" at 9 received a 2.1/6 and 9.2 million viewers, making it the most-watched program of the evening. "Camp" at 10 earned a 0.9/3 and 3.4 million viewers.

For CBS, "Big Brother" at 8 earned a 2.2/7 and 6.3 million viewers. Repeats followed. CBS is still blacked out in New York, Los Angeles and Dallas by Time Warner Cable as their retransmission negotiations have spanned three full weeks.

ABC was in fifth in ratings with a 0.8/2 and in total viewers with 3.1 million. Following reruns, "Nightline: The Lookout" got a 0.7/2 and 2.9 million viewers. The rating is down 30 percent from last week, tying its lowest numbers to date.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.5/2 and in total viewers 1.2 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.3/1 and in total viewers, with 1.1 million. The network aired entirely repeats.
