Ratings: ‘HIMYM,’ ‘2 Broke Girls,’ ‘Castle’ Finales Grow; ‘Voice’ Drops But Still Wins Night

"The Voice" drops 12 percent to a cycle low for performance shows

CBS's "2 Broke Girls" and "How I Met Your Mother" received ratings bumps with their season finales Monday night, while NBC's "The Voice" dropped to its lowest ratings for a performance show this cycle.

However, it still took the night's top ratings, boosting the network to a win in the key demographic, according to preliminary numbers.

NBC drew first place in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic with a 3.1 rating/9 share and second in total viewers with 9.3 million. "The Voice" at 8 p.m. dropped 12 percent to a 3.6/10, the lowest ratings for a performance episode this cycle, and had 11 million total viewers. "Revolution" at 10:01 dipped to a 1.9/5 and had 5.7 million total viewers.

CBS was second in ratings and third in total viewers with a 2.5/7 and 8 million. The "How I Met Your Mother" season finale at 8 jumped 31 percent from the previous week's episode (though it was down slightly from last season's finale), posting a 3.4/11 and taking 8.4 million total viewers.

Following a repeat of "The Big Bang Theory" at 8:30, the "2 Broke Girls" season finale at 9 inched up to a 2.9/8 and took in 8.9 million total viewers. "Mike & Molly" at 9:30 was up slightly for a 2.4/6 with 8.3 million total viewers, while "Hawaii Five-0" at 10 dropped modestly to a 1.8/5 with 7.7 million total viewers.

ABC took third place in ratings but first in total viewers with a 2.0/6 and 12.4 million. "Dancing With the Stars" at 8 ran even with last week for a 2.0/6 with 13 million total viewers, making it the night's most-watched program. The season finale of "Castle" at 10 grew to percent for a 2.2/6 with 11.3 million total viewers.

Fox, taking fourth place in ratings and total viewers with a 1.7/5 and 4 million, ran back-to-back episodes of "Hell's Kitchen," both of which were down 11 percent from last week's airing with a 1.7/5. The 8 p.m. episode drew 4 million total viewers, while the 9 p.m. episode had 3.9 million total viewers.
