Ratings: ‘Hollywood Game Night’ Premiere Soars After ‘America’s Got Talent’

“Hollywood Game Night” was a winner in primetime, premiering up 67 percent in the key 18-49 demo ratings versus last summer’s season debut.

This year, the Jane Lynch game show followed “America’s Got Talent” — Tuesday’s top show. Last summer, the “Game Night” aired Thursday nights at 8 p.m. with no primetime lead-in.

Meanwhile, ABC’s “Extreme Weight Loss” hit a series low. ABC tied for fourth-place in the main demo with Telemundo. Fox fell to sixth place in ratings.

NBC was first with a 2.0 rating/8 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 8.7 million, according to preliminary numbers. “AGT” at 8 p.m. earned a 2.2/8 and 10.4 million viewers. “Hollywood Game Night” at 10 posted a 1.5/5 and 5.4 million viewers.

CBS and Univision tied for second in ratings, each with a 0.9/3. CBS was second in total viewers with 7 million; Univision was third with 2.3 million.

For CBS, in-between repeats, “Zoo” at 9 got a 1.1/4 and 7.5 million viewers.

ABC and Telemundo tied for fourth in ratings, both with a 0.6/2. ABC was fourth in total viewers with 2.3 million; Telemundo was sixth with 1.4 million.

For ABC, following reruns, “Extreme Weight Loss” at 10 had a 0.6/2 and 2 million viewers.

Fox was sixth in ratings with a 0.5/2 and fifth in viewers with 2.1 million. “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?” at 8 received a 0.6/2 and 2.5 million viewers. A repeat followed.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.4/1 and in viewers with 1.2 million, airing reruns.
