Ratings: ‘iZombie’ Season Finale Hits New Low Opposite NBA Finals Game 3

NBC finishes second with steady “America’s Got Talent”

LeBron James and ABC both picked up big wins on Tuesday night with Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

Runner-up NBC had a fine showing versus the basketball championship game, staying mostly steady week-over-week. CW’s “iZombie” season finale fell to an all-time low at 9 p.m.; that network finished in last-place overall.

ABC was first in ratings with a 4.9 rating/16 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 12.6 million, according to preliminary numbers.

“Jimmy Kimmel Live Game Night” at 8 received a 2.7/10 — up 42 percent from last year — and 8.1 million viewers. “NBA Countdown” at 8:30 earned a 3.4/12 — also up 42 percent year-over-year — and 9.2 million viewers. The game itself, which saw the hometown Cleveland Cavaliers defeat the Golden State Warriors, scored a 5.8/18 — up 18 percent from 2014’s Game 3 — and 14.6 million viewers.

NBC was second in ratings with a 2.0/7 and in viewers with 8.8 million. “America’s Got Talent” at 8 had a 2.3/8 and 10.3 million viewers. At 10, “I Can Do That!” got a 1.6/5 and 5.7 million viewers.

Fox and Univision tied for third in ratings, both with a 0.9/3. Fox was fourth in total viewers with 3.2 million; Univision was fifth in viewers with 2.4 million.

For Fox, “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?” at 8 posted a 0.8/3 and 2.9 million viewers. “Hell’s Kitchen” at 9 had a 1.0/3 and 3.4 million viewers.

CBS was fifth in ratings with a 0.7/3, but third in viewers with 6.5 million, airing entirely reruns.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.5/2 and in viewers with 1.312 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.4/2 and in viewers with 1.307 million. Following a repeat, “iZombie” dipped to a 0.5/2 — down 17 percent from last week — and 1.4 million viewers.
