Ratings: ‘Mike & Molly,’ ‘Castle’ Finales Take Series Out on Season-High Notes

Neither of their home networks top the key 18-49 demographic on Monday, however

Both “Mike & Molly” and “Castle” ended their series runs with season highs last night, though neither CBS or ABC was able to top the key 18-49 demographic.

That distinction went to NBC, thanks to “The Voice.” ABC was top dog in total viewers due to “Dancing With the Stars.” Those two networks were each others’ runner-up in the respective metrics.

NBC was first in ratings with a 1.8 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and second in total viewers with an average of 8 million, according to preliminary numbers. “The Voice” at 8 p.m. scored a 2.0/7 and 9.4 million viewers. At 10, “Blindspot” posted a 1.3/4 and 5.4 million viewers.

ABC was second in ratings with a 1.6/5 and first in viewers with 10.3 million. “Dancing With the Stars” at 8 p.m. earned a 1.7/6 and 11.5 million viewers. At 10, “Castle” concluded to a 1.3/4 — up 18 percent from last week — and 7.8 million viewers, a 16 percent bump.

CBS was third in ratings with a 1.3/4 and in viewers with 6.6 million. “Mike & Molly” at 8 landed a 1.4/5 and 7.7 million viewers. The series finale at 8:30 rose to a 1.6/6 and 8.3 million viewers. Following a rerun, “The Odd Couple” at 9:30 had a 1.3/4 and 5.7 million viewers. At 10, “Person of Interest” received a 0.9/3 and 5.3 million viewers.

Fox was fourth in ratings with a 1.0/3 and in viewers with 3.1 million. “Gotham” at 8 got a 1.3/5 and 3.8 million viewers. At 9, “Houdini & Doyle” managed a 0.6/2 and 2.5 million viewers.

Univision and Telemundo tied for fifth in ratings, both with a 0.6/2. Univision was fifth in total viewers with 1.6 million; Telemundo was sixth with 1.4 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.3/1 and in viewers with 882,000. “Reign” at 8 had a 0.3/1 and 819,000 viewers. At 9, the “Jane the Virgin” season finale got a 0.4/1 and 946,000 viewers.
