NBC scored an overall win with coverage of the U.S. Olympic trials and ABC's "Secret Millionaire" and "Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition" hit lows on a Sunday night filled with plenty of repeats on the other networks, according to preliminary numbers.

NBC came in first place in ratings with a 2.5/8 in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic, and in total viewers with 8.3 million. The U.S. Olympic Trials track and field finals at 7 posted a 1.4/5, down slightly from 2008's track and field trials, and drew 5.6 million total viewers. The swimming finals ticked up slightly from 2008, scoring a 2.1/7 and 7.7 million total viewers. The gymnastic women's finals at 9, meanwhile, jumped 60 percent from the 2008 trials, taking a 3.2/9 and drawing 9.9 million total viewers. The gymnastics finals were the night's top-rated and most-watched program.
ABC came in second in ratings with a 1.2/4 and third in total viewers with 4.5 million. Following an "American's Funniest Home Videos" repeat at 7, both of its original programs dipped to lows. "Secret Millionaire" at 8 posted a 1.1/4, slipping 27 percent from its last original three weeks ago to its lowest telecast ever. It drew 5 million total viewers. "Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition" the following hour dropped 20 percent to its own low of 1.2/3, and had 3.9 million total viewers.
Fox, which aired repeats throughout the night, came in third in ratings and fourth in total viewers with a 1.1/4 and 2.5 million.
Univision drew fourth place in ratings and fifth in total viewers with a 0.9/3 and 2.5 million.
CBS, which ran repeats, took fifth in ratings and second in total viewers with a 0.8/2 and 5.2 million.
