Ratings: Sochi Games Dip, ABC’s ‘Killer Women’ Hits New Low

“American Idol” holds mostly steady from Thursday to Tuesday

NBC scored once again with Winter Olympic coverage, though it dropped a bit in the key demographic Tuesday.

Against the stiff competition, ABC’s “Killer Women” hit a new low. Fox’s “American Idol” dipped slightly compared to Thursday, but held mostly steady against the Sochi telecast.

NBC was first in ratings with a 4.8 rating/14 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and first in viewers with an average of 18.5 million, according to preliminary numbers. The network aired only the Olympics in primetime.

Fox was second in ratings with a 2.7/8 and in viewers with 9.6 million. “American Idol” was the only show on the network’s primetime schedule.

Univision was third in ratings with a 1.4/4 and fourth in viewers with 3.2 million.

CBS was fourth in ratings with a 1.3/4 and third in viewers with 8.1 million, airing entirely reruns.

ABC was fifth in ratings with a 0.7/2 and in total viewers with 2.7 million. Following repeats, “Killer Women” got a 0.6/2 and 3.2 million viewers.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.4/1 and 1.2 million viewers.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.3/1 and in total viewers with 923,000. The network aired reruns.
