Ratings: ‘Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show’ Boosts CBS to a Win

Fox's Tuesday night comedy block down across the board

Though down considerably from last year, "Victoria's Secret Fashion Show" topped the ratings on Tuesday night, leading CBS to an overall win for the evening, according to preliminary numbers.

Getty ImagesCBS took first place in both the advertiser-sought 18-49 demographic with a 2.8 rating/8 share and in total viewers with 10.2 million. "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" at 8 p.m. was down 28 percent from last year's airing with a 2.9/8 and had 10 million total viewers. Following an "NCIS" repeat at 9, the Victoria's Secret show at 10 drew a 3.5/10 — a 24 percent drop from last year's presentation, but still the night's best performance — and had 9.3 million total viewers.

NBC came in second in ratings and total viewers with a 2.4/7 and 7.3 million. "The Voice" at 8 dipped slightly from last week for a 3.4/10 and took 11.3 million total viewers, making it the most-watched show of the night. "Go On" the following hour was even with last week for a 2.5/7 and drew 6.9 million total viewers, while "The New Normal" at 9:30 also held steady with a 1.7/4 and had 4.6 million total viewers. "Parenthood" at 10 had a 1.7/5 and 4.9 million total viewers.

Fox came in third in ratings and fourth in total viewers with a 1.5/4 and 3.3 million, slipping across the board. "Raising Hope" at 8 dropped 22 percent to a 1.4/4 and had 3.7 million total viewers, while "Ben & Kate" at 8:30 fell 21 percent to a 1.1/3 and had 2.7 million total viewers. "New Girl" at 9 slid 13 percent to a 2.0/5 and had 4.1 million total viewers, while "The Mindy Project" also dropped off 13 percent, falling to a 1.3/3. It had 2.6 million total viewers.

ABC took fourth place in ratings and third in total viewers with a 1.4/4 and 4.8 million. "Shark Tank" slid 11 percent from its last airing on Nov. 16, drawing a 1.7/5 and taking 6.9 million total viewers, while "Happy Endings" at 9 jumped 18 percent from its last original airing two weeks ago for a 1.3/3 with 3.5 million total viewers. "Don't Trust the B— in Apt. 23" at 9:30 also improved from its last original two weeks ago, jumping 33 percent to a 1.2/3 and taking 3 million total viewers. "Private Practice" at 8 posted a 1.2/3 with 4.4 million total viewers.
