Ratings: ‘Wipeout’ Wins, ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ Drops

ABC’s reality game show takes the crown, but with declines all around, there’s little to brag about

ABC's reality game show "Wipeout" took the evening's top ratings Thursday on an evening marked by summer tune-out across the board, according to preliminary numbers.

"Wipeout" at 8 p.m. took the ratings crown — such as it was — with a 1.9 rating/7 share in the adults 18-49 demographic and 6.5 million total viewers. It was down 21 percent from last week's ratings. The new ABC adventure competition "Expedition Impossible" the following hour slipped 25 percent from last week's premiere with a 1.8/6 in the demo and 6.1 million total viewers. "Rookie Blue" at 10 was down 13 percent, taking a 1.4/4 in the demo and 5.4 million total viewers.

At Fox, "So You Think You Can Dance" at 8 dropped 20 percent from last week's episode with a 1.6/6 in the demo and 5 million total viewers. A "Glee" repeat capped the evening.

NBC's sole original programming of the night, "Love Bites" at 10, dipped 13 percent with a 0.7/2 in the demo and 1.7 million total viewers, continuing a steady decline that has plagued the drama since its debut last month.

CBS ran repeats throughout the evening.
