Lydia McLaughlin is one and done.
The married mother of two and co-owner of Beverly Hills Lifestyle magazine says she won’t be back for the upcoming ninth season of Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Orange County.”
“It’s bittersweet,” McLaughlin told US. “I compare it to breaking up with a boyfriend you know you’re not going to end up with — it’s hard, but overall you know you’re doing the right thing.”

Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, McLaughlin joined during Season 8 and quickly became a peacemaker among the women. She’ll probably be best remembered for the Christian lifestyle she leads currently, which contrasted with her hippie upbringing.
“I definitely don’t have any regrets,” the 32-year-old said. “I got to be kind of a different voice — I think that my fans love the love and positivity that I brought.”
A Bravo spokesperson had no comment on McLaughlin’s departure.

McLaughlin’s exit follows the reported firings of Alexis Bellino and Gretchen Rossi, leaving Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Barney and Heather Dubrow as the remaining castmembers.
“Orange County” is the franchise’s longest-running series, but the fourth most-watched after Atlanta, New Jersey and Beverly Hills. Season 8 averaged 1.6 million viewers per episode.
