“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Cynthia Bailey has joined the upcoming Syfy movie “Sharknado 4,” TheWrap has learned exclusively.
Bailey will play Tech Addison opposite fellow new addition Tommy Davidson. Davidson will play Elon Musk type “Aston Reynolds,” a playboy tech billionaire whose revolutionary energy system can stabilize the atmosphere and prevent the formation of tornadoes. Bailey will appear opposite Davidson as one of Astro-X’s top rocket scientists and astrophysicists.
Before she joined Bravo’s “RHOA,” Bailey guest starred on several series including “The Cosby Show” and “New York Undercover” and in movies such as “Without You I’m Nothing” and “For Love or Money.”
Bailey is represented by Pantheon, Luber Roklin Entertainment, Terri Apple Management and Integrated PR.
“Sharknado 4” sees the return of Ian Ziering and Tara Reid. This installment takes place five years after last year’s installment, with Gary Busey as Wilford Wexler, April’s father and a lead scientist at Astro-X. He’s at the forefront of advances in the field of robotics.
Other cast members include Imani Hakim, Cody Linley, Cheryl Tiegs and Masiela Lusha. The fourth addition to the hit global franchise also sees the return of David Hasselhoff as Gil Shepard and Ryan Newman as Claudia Shepard.
The film is a production of The Asylum, with Anthony C. Ferrante returning to direct an original screenplay written by Thunder Levin.
“Sharknado 4” will premiere this July on Syfy.
