Kim Kardashian Angry Over Turkish ‘Cosmo’ Cover, Report Says

Armenian-American reality star is furious that the magazine will appear on newsstands on the anniversary of the Armenian genocide

Improbable as it might seem, Kim Kardashian has apparently found a magazine cover that she'd rather not grace.

According to various reports, the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star is seeing red over her appearance on the latest Turkish edition of "Cosmopolitan."

Kardashian is said to be particularly upset because the issue is on newsstands in April — and April 24 is the traditional day of remembrance for the victims of the 1915 Armenian genocide at the hands of the Turks.

The Armenian-American reality TV star has been vocal about the Armenian genocide, and the fact that it has only been officially recognized by a handful of countries.

According to TMZ, "Cosmopolitan" told Kardashian and her reps about the various international editions that she would appear on, but somehow Turkey wasn't mentioned, and the reality star would never have consented to it.

Kardashian confirmed on her official Web site Monday that she "had no idea" she would appear on the cover of Turkey's "Cosmo." She does add, however, "I have an amazing relationship with'Cosmopolitan' magazine. World-over, Cosmo is known as a fun and inspiring magazine for women of all races, shapes, sizes, regardless of their political beliefs and I really hope that if I can bring awareness to the [genocide] issue, then this in an accomplishment."

A "Cosmopolitan" spokesperson told TheWrap in a statement, “Kim Kardashian is one of our favorite cover girls. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to photograph her for the Cosmopolitan editions worldwide.”
