Actress Nancy Dolman, Wife of Martin Short, Dies

No cause of death was given for Dolman, who met Short on a 1972 Canadian production of “Godspell”

Nancy Dolman, wife of Martin Short and an actress who once had a recurring role on "Soap," has died, Short's management company told TheWrap.

No cause of death was immediately given.

Dolman's death was first reported by Radaronline.com, which said the fire department was called to their Pacific Palisades home on Saturday morning for an emergency. Medical personnel did not take anyone to the hospital, and it's believed Dolman died at the house, Radar reported.

The website also said Nancy Dolman underwent surgery for cancer in the groin area in 2007.

Short, who played a number of characters on "Saturday Night Live" in the 1980s, is nominated for a supporting drama actor Emmy award this year for his role in "Damages."

The couple has three grown children.
