Reporter Has No Idea Why Sean Hannity Keeps Tweeting at Him

Sean Hannity has an interesting theory about what’s going on at his network right now: The Fox News host claims someone is trying to get his boss fired, and that he knows exactly who that person is.

Hannity was responding to New York Magazine reporter Gabe Sherman’s report Wednesday that Fox News co-president Bill Shine could be heading for the chopping block.

“Gäbe i pray this is NOT true because if it is, that’s the total end of the FNC as we know it. Done. Best Sean,” Hannity tweeted.

After apologizing for accidentally using an umlaut — two little dots above a letter — Hannity turned to capitalization: “Somebody HIGH UP AND INSIDE FNC is trying to get an innocent person fired. And Gabe I KNOW WHO it is. Best Sean,” Hannity tweeted.

We have no idea who the somebody high up at Fox News is, but the innocent person is apparently Bill Shine… and we know that because Hannity followed up with the hashtag #Istandwithbill, and later, #Istandwithshine.

We asked Sherman what Hannity’s tweets were all about, to which Sherman answered: “I don’t have any idea what he’s talking about. Best, Gabe.”

A rep for Fox News did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment. Though to be fair they might have their hands full today… thanks to Sherman’s report on Shine.
